Property Technical Support Associate Manager Job Description


Job Summary:

This job is responsiblefor handling a team of Property technical specialists whose primary role involved investigating, negotiating and settling basic property damage and liability insurance claims. The team of leads and technical estimators perform individual reviews of the insurance policy, reports and photos, evaluate damages along with determining loss coverage, and may be required to authorizes payments. Damage details are shared virtually with the team and the primary resposibility is to ensure team is processing at required standards and within authourity limits. Manage stakeholder commuinication and expectations around perfromance, volume inventory and demand /capacity management. Handling a team of diverse professionals and ensuring necessary grooming and development is in place, boh from a domain and leadership standpoint.

  • Responsible to manage Property Pre-fill / property technical support teams
  • Awareness of Claims Handling for Property Damage Claims and pre-fill estimating practices
  • Ensure high level adherence towards technical claims handling practices
  • Lead complex teams and effectively communicate on any business challenges/issues with leadership and stakeholders
  • Responsible for Business KPI’s and building cohesive relationships with stateside and partner ecosystem
  • Apply planning, prioritization, and organizational discipline in managing workload and business priorities
  • Performance management across frontline and leaders in adherence to operational standards
  • Efficiently manage stakeholder governance, communication, grievances, and enquiries
  • Identify & lead efficiency improvement projects across the team (tech/non-tech related)
  • Drive knowledge / skill development through domain and business certification
  • Responsible for talent retention, employee engagement and nurturing talent
  • Influence collaboration; address Coaching and training requirements across leaders and teams
  • Ensure operational connects are well established between Support and Enablement teams
  • Review operational and business results; implement improvement and corrective actions across the business
  • Leading with a Continuous Improvement culture and Result oriented mindset


Primary Skills:

  • Property Estimating expertise (Damage Assessment knowledge - preferred)
  • Insurance domain knowledge of Property Claims Handling, Damage assessment and Documentation support preferred
  • Leading a team of 100+ resources supporting Voice & Technical processing
  • Strong communication skills & ability to communicate across levels
  • Ability to lead & influence teams to achieve business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills: result oriented and ability to understand trends and identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong presentation skills; lead business reviews


Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-12 + years of related experience
  • Experience in Insurance industry preferred
  • Awareness of Property Damage Assessment and/or Estimate review preferred
