Your role in the team

 

Allstate Technology Architecture plays a fundamental role in aligning Allstate’s business and technology strategies.  Architects work with their business and technology delivery partners to define and document technology that drives our business will look like in the future and how it fits into the broader vision of Allstate’s technology and capabilities landscape.  Governance of the processes plays a key role in a successful operation, and we are now looking to improve how that works.

 

We are pleased to announce that we currently have an opening for a new architect for Voice Technology to join the ACG Architecture team.

 

The Enterprise Architect for Voice Technology will work on conceptual architecture, high-level design strategy and technical design for IT solutions, based on functional and non-functional requirements in the scope of Allstate Canada  Digital Workplace product suite - based on functional and non-functional requirements – specifically, in Unified Communications (UC), Contact Centre(CC), Document Management (e.g., DMS) and Customer Communications Management(CCM) areas.

 

They will participate in selection and configuration of the document generation, distribution and management systems’ components, architect unified communications systems, determine effective integration and data acquisition patterns, reporting and analytical architecture and provide architectural guidance in creating related specifications and formulating testing and deployment approach of the designed business solution.

 

The right candidate will provide technical evaluations, design and engineering support for Digital Workplace enhancements and lead implementation of new Digital Workplace technologies to support the strategic needs of Allstate Canada.

 

 

  • Architectural support of cross-functional Canada Unified Communications initiative, in particular:
  • Adopting and onboarding to Allstate Global Enterprise solutions.
  • Interactive voice response (IVR) self-payment solution architecture, which extends to PCI DSS scope.
  • Architectural support for Document generation, distribution and management initiatives, including:
  • Paperless office.
  • Paperless delivery.
  • Developing a profound knowledge of the application and technology portfolio of Digital Workplace product suite, and the business operations it supports.
  • Supports delivery teams within Digital Workplace IT product suite

 

 

So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

 

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
  • At least 5 years’ experience of architecture and/or software design
  • Experience in an Architect role delivering Unified Communications and Collaboration, Telephony and Networking Solutions for a large global organization
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to collaborate with and guide partner teams to help them comply with governance standards
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a multi-team environment

 

 

 

We also have some desirable criteria

 

  • Previous experience of unified communication solutions
  • Previous experience of document management solutions
