Your role in the team


You will collaborate with various architecture and engineering teams to gather requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that meet performance, availability, capacity and resiliency targets for moderate complexity systems. You will have the opportunity to research and aid in the production and presentation of documentation for more complex systems or projects. You will perform requirements analysis activities and develop the design of moderate complexity infrastructure solutions and produce and present appropriate documentation as needed. 


Participate in the development and maintenance of application infrastructure Roadmaps, bringing together business direction and infrastructure direction.  Participate in review sessions with technology leadership. Provide support of consulting engagements for environment sizing, application deployment, Disaster Recovery and Architecture direction to application portfolios and environment support teams. Maintain awareness of current state application environments and business drivers. 


Provide projections of future capacity demand and identify potential recommendations for meeting projected demands, based on business and technology directions. Provides expertise for multiple areas of the business through analysis and understanding of business needs; applies a broad knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures in a business area or technical field. Leads information gathering sessions, scopes project work of moderate complexity projects.


You will also have the opportunity to provide training for more junior level Solution Engineers.




So, what are the essential criteria to apply?


  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Solution Engineer or similar
  • 2+ years’ experience in SDLC (requirements, design, build, test, deploy) or similar
  • Technical experience in architecture/design

  • University degree or equivalent
