Duties:

Manage teams responsible for strategic and critical pieces of architecture, and provide functions of key strategic value to the business. Function as the subject matter expert on software best practices, and be relied upon to propagate these in the broader organization. Advise on complex engineering matters, build foundation to translate strategy into challenging and meaningful goals, and ability to view the organization as a whole. Leverage and influence key stakeholders to establish vision, direction, and specific objectives for team efforts. Work with a fully distributed remote engineering team to develop and implement the product roadmap. Design, architect Arity SDK and telematics app for iOS and Android. Participate in product scoping, discovery and framing, and inceptions providing technical input and help translate user features into system design. Develop, onboard, and lead a highly skilled and motivated team of engineering managers and engineers. Collect staff performance data against desired outcomes and service level agreements.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience in architecting and designing digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in architecting and designing digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems.

Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated experience (“DE”) providing system analysis, business process modeling, and re-engineering for digital products across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in accordance with Agile methodologies and test-driven development; DE developing and designing digital products using HTML, CSS, Javascript, REST, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, ReactJs, Redux, and NodeJS; DE architecting, solution designing, building, hosting, and supporting an open API, micro-service architecture, leveraging code unit testing tools including Maven, Gradle, Artifactory, Jenkins, Swagger, postman, Java, Kotlin, Objective C, and Swift; and DE designing, developing, implementing, and performing Code reviews for development work, and developing iOS/Android libraries on iOS and Android operating systems. Apply online at https://jobsearch.allstate.com/ and reference position number: 742616

Compensation offered for this role is $150,263.62/year and is based on experience and qualifications.
