Job Description

 

The Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, Allstate Service Businesses*, is responsible for leading fully integrated Corporate Relations strategies to engage and build understanding with internal and external stakeholders around the role of the Service Businesses portfolio in Allstate’s growth strategy. The person in this role will listen, build relationships and align with senior leaders and cross-functional partners in the units and enterprise, creating leading positions in personal transportation, data and telematics that support measurable impact in reputation, business growth and culture evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic thinking and reputation management

 

  • Partner and leverage all aspects of Corporate Relations to better po­­­sition Allstate as a family of companies that is innovating to broaden our protection services to remain relevant to the connected consumer.
  • Create and manage Corporate Relations strategies that reflect business objectives, link to Allstate’s corporate narrative and support core growth drivers.
  • Ensure leading business positions in personal transportation and digital protection link to Allstate’s broadening view of protection; ensure message consistency and integration between the department, partnering functions, business units and the enterprise.
  • Ensure plans support cross-channel storytelling, using internal and external media that account for measurable push and pull tactics.
  • Counsel business leaders and partners on complex issues, including risk and mitigation scenarios that protect reputation at the enterprise and unit level; proactively identify and manage emerging and existing issues that may have an impact on overall business performance and the image of Allstate.
  • Proactively identify processes and ways of working that integrate internal and external storytelling and thought leader platforms across the enterprise; measure results and apply learning to achieve stronger results.
  • Develop and oversee internal and external measurement strategies. This involves developing and improving internal/external communication plans, based on key measurement findings.
  • Conceive and execute thought leadership platforms specifically related to Allstate’s mobility and data protection services to advance credibility, market position and reputation.

Expert-level experience

  • 10-15 years of insurance industry experience, including corporate relations/communications experience
  • Insurance, financial services or other shared service business acumen preferred
  • Automotive or consumer packaged goods/brand building valued
  • Combination of corporate and field experience valuable

 

Expert-level education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or journalism
