Senior Lead Consultant - Testing

Job Description

Accountable Senior QA resource with having 7-10 years of experience as Software Quality Engineer. Candidate should have knowledge of UI, Rest services automation on Java/Python languages. Strong experience writing and maintaining automated test cases using Selenium and TestNG written in Java. Deep understanding of SDLC processes and agile, experience in applying test methodologies, creating test plans, test reports, test cases, use cases and relevant tools and technologies. Proficiency with SQL for data integrity testing. A self-starter with strong team collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have great analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good to have experience with scripting (PowerShell, Unix), build deployments, debugging & installation.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Work

• Work as expert engineer focused on automation, quality and agility.
• Work closely with product manager and developers to understand requirements and create detailed use cases, test cases, test plans and identify risks.
• Create and maintain test suites for functional, regression, acceptance, and system integration testing.
• Identify key areas to automate and develop test suites.
• Responsible for functional, integration, data integrity and regression to ensure quality of code before releasing to production
• Create detailed bug reports by performing root cause analysis and work with development and product teams to prioritize those.
• Understand deployment scenarios and manage deployment to test environments.

People Work

• Mentoring and guiding associates within team on technical issues and challenges
• Enhancing competencies of team members on Quality stack

Primary Skills

• Hands-on Engineering expertise.
• Strong experience of Agile development in distributed teams as well as thorough experience on Testing methodologies & frameworks inclusive of test automation.
• In-depth knowledge of Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, API Testing.
• Knowledge on test platforms like – Sauce Labs / Perfecto
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Unix), build deployments and debugging.
• Knowledge of SQL queries for data integrity testing.
• Working experience on Java / Python with GitHub Actions, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Strong experience in Continuous Build and Continuous Integration using tools like Jenkins, GitHub and Maven.

Shift Timing

13:00 PM - 21:30 PM (Monday thru Friday)

Manager expected to join ECC calls when required irrespective of time of day and provide oversight for any activities scheduled for weekend
