The Arity Product Development family will be responsible for creating and leading Arity’ product development in order to fulfill Arity’s mission to make transportation smarter, safer, and more useful for everyone. This family makes up the strategic heart of Arity’s product strategy, development, and go to market programs.  

Job Summary:

The Arity Director, Product Development, Telematics ML leads a team of product managers to define and implement our strategic vision for next-generation scoring products to provide customers with new insights that improve risk prediction, increase engagement, and refine targeting. Arity’s scoring products form the backbone of its market-leading risk prediction, point of sale, and customer targeting products. With its database of 30+ million connected drivers, Arity will define the future of risk prediction and geolocation insights based on the leadership of this Director.


Success in this role is defined by the leader coaching and hiring a team of product managers, building a strategic roadmap based on KPIs and market feedback, and executing our product development roadmaps.


The right leader for this role brings demonstrated experience in building scoring and predictive modeling products for financial and marketing industries, inclusive of FCRA regulated products. The leader is responsible to build both the production scoring products as well as the pre- and post-sales analytics products required to support B2B customer testing and certification of Arity products. Experience should include close collaboration with Analytics and Data Science teams to roadmap and discover new predictive features as well as work with design, product marketing, and sales to effectively represent and productize scoring outputs. The leader will also bring experience in coaching and developing product managers at multiple levels to grow their team of PMs into a high-performing, metrics-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development 

  • Manage development of new predictive features and scoring products based on existing and new signals.
  • Create roadmap to discover new features to improve existing models or create new ones. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics to refine process to evaluate and integrate 3rd party data that may accelerate model development.
  • Identify key metrics to measure and improve score quality both in production and during model creation.
  • Manage, develop, and hire team of 3 PMs to focus on areas to expand platform capabilities. 
  • Work with other PM teams, engineering, and analytics to develop long-term roadmap, provide new capabilities, and improve the quality of all Arity products. 
  • Work with operational excellence to ensure model and score compliance with current and emerging federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Work with business development to identify and acquire new 3rd party data feeds and to develop existing data relationships to their maximum potential.


Strategic Thinking

  • Develops solutions, alternatives, and guidance in diverse and complex situations 
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on feature and score significance for other development leaders & teams, as we well as business development. 
  • Provides insights and perspective on key market, technology, and competitive trends that will impact current and future Arity
  • Presents business cases and collaborates with peers on overall market opportunities for Arity as a whole.
  • Communicates technical Arity concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Anticipates needs of the organization and leads efforts for continuous improvements within Arity
  • Develops and implements ideas that have long term broad organizational impacts


Leading People

  • Leads a team of highly skilled individual contributors with deep subject matter expertise in Arity technology. Defines goals and metrics for success for each individual. Coaches team on tactical, strategic, and organizational success.
  • Develops the staff’s ability to provide written and oral communication of highly specialized terms and data to less technical people
  • Interprets broad goals and objectives into departmental priorities and activities
  • Actively develops internal succession pipeline for department
  • Promotes, fosters and influences actions, careers, environment of employees


  • 12+ years of product development experience and innovation leadership experience.
  • Experience building and managing scoring products from geolocation data.
  • Experience bringing scoring and modeling products to market for B2B customers with significant regulatory requirements.
  • Experiencing building scaled scoring model products at large scale. 
  • Experience blending datasets from disparate sources to build valuable new insights.
  • Experience building and leading a team of product managers.
  • Demonstrated success defining a market, success criteria, and products in market to meet strategic objectives.
  • Experience building and delivering against financial plan for product segment.

Compensation offered for this role is based on experience and qualifications.

Allstate prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary.  The base range offered for the role is: $165-220K and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors.  Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
