Job Summary:

The Rating Services team is responsible for defining, delivering, managing, and supporting the use of all regulated driving risk scoring programs associated with Arity’s growing and revolutionary insurance product portfolio. The team leverages expertise in how insurers determine policyholder premium and the insurance regulatory environment to help Arity develop solutions for insurers that leverage telematics data. We also work with insurers that subscriber to our services (B2B insurance companies) to help them design and implement telematics programs. Our team works closely with data scientists, product, customer account managers within Arity’s insurance vertical and individual state department of insurance agencies. The customers of this group include insurance carriers who subscribe to Arity models and rating services.
 
Our business and delivery models are best described as B2B – enabling value across Allstate brands and outside of Allstate. Our key customer audience is insurance product managers who will leverage the subscription scoring programs you bring to market to improve the value in their existing programs and/or create new solutions for insurance consumer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates regulatory filings that detail our driving score products and manage associated communications with a given Department of Insurance (including responses to objections and department inquiries); collaborates with others to research and decide on responses to DOI inquiries and completes moderately complex filing forms.
  • Review filing databases and competitor’s marketing information to understand how insurers leverage telematics; develop and maintain an understanding of the Rating Services Organization (RSO) market opportunity and competitive landscape
  • Works in partnership with state filings, legal, and outside vendors to secure and maintain regulatory approval of Arity as a Rating Services Organization (RSO)
  • Partners with insurance vertical account manager(s) to create and maintain strategic partnerships with Arity rating services subscribers
  • Owns the creation of documents and procedures to be used by Rating Services Consultants (e.g., job aids, documentation, and checklists) to facilitate the successful management of countrywide licensing and model filings
  • Partners with driving score product manager(s) to understand voice of the B2B insurance company customer and Arity driving score product roadmap
  • Proactively engages with data scientist(s) as Arity driving score model(s) are created
  • Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities beyond scope of individual work

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-5 years of experience in project management or insurance rating and filing operations
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels
  • High level organizational and project management skills in order to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner
  • Ownership of responsibilities, including self-management of deadlines and problem solving when faced with ambiguity
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve basic data issues

Compensation offered for this role is $56,600.00-$91,850.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
