Job Description

Duties: Supports all test strategy and coordination, planning, creation, and execution activities for multiple test types. Identifies as in-scope, champions overall quality efforts.  Identifies and defines acceptance criteria and test conditions, and creates and executes test scenarios that validate application acceptance criteria. Owns all test coordination, planning, and creation or execution of automated test scripts for medium to high complexity projects. Defines test conditions when stories or requirements are created, designs and implements test automation architecture, and enhances and modifies the test automation framework.  Evaluates feasibility of appropriate testing tools. Utilizes debugging tools, conducts root cause analyses, and applies findings in future implementations.  Working in an Agile/Scrum environment, executes the practical application of Agile framework components (user stories, Scrum, sprints, etc.); participates in Scrum, Daily Stand-up, Sprint, and iterative development activities; participates in Sprint planning, release planning, and backlog refinement; and defines acceptance criteria when stories are created.  In a Test Management environment, deconstructs business requirements to create effective acceptance criteria and automated test scripts for medium to high complexity projects. Ensures software quality via continuous and iterative testing approaches, and provides oversight on the test infrastructure. Defines, develops, reviews, and coordinates an iterative test strategy. Supports, designs, develops, and implements modifications to test automation architecture and functional, mobile, performance, or web services framework.  Executes test cases within the Functional, Mobile, Performance or Web Services Automation framework. Collaborates with external environment team members to troubleshoot issues and determine environment needs and constraints.  Applies Testing Lifecycle Management principles in the context of a product. Collaborates with geographically dispersed teams for day-to-day operations.

Job Qualifications

Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent), plus three (3) years’ experience delivering software test automation practices (Back-End & Front-End Test Automation Frameworks) using Selenium, TestNG, Jmeter, and Specflow with Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall testing methodologies or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent), plus five (5) years’  experience delivering software test automation practices (Back-End & Front-End Test Automation Frameworks) using Selenium, TestNG, Jmeter, and Specflow with Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall testing methodologies. Must also possess the following: Demonstrated Experience (DE) testing applications in the Auto Insurance domain working with geographically dispersed teams; DE developing BDD/keyword driven automation frameworks from scratch using Robo Framework and SpecFlow; DE designing and developing end-to-end test automation frameworks, including UI and Web services, using Selenium, TestNG, REST-assured, Rest-Sharp, Java, C#, and Postman; and DE conducting Performance testing using JMeter, Soap-UI, and Groovy.
