Job Description

The  Marketing & Content Designer (Art Director) will be the go-to creator of digital and physical marketing assets for Avail. As a key member of the brand marketing team, this role is both conceptual and executional. To be successful in this role, you will leverage learnings from both data and insights to design compelling ad content, intuitive user experiences, and cohesive marketing collateral. As a young brand, this role offers the unique opportunity to be adventurous, test new ideas, and shape the future of the Avail brand. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Concept and design digital assets, videos, motion graphics, and content for social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), emails, webpages, blog posts, etc. in partnership with copywriter
  • Design unique branded environments/layouts for physical Avail locations, considering wayfinding and user experience. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and UX teams to determine how to best support communication goals through creative solutions.
  • Provide both brief inputs and creative feedback for external partners, content creators and agencies on creative needs. Oversee adherence to brand guidelines and standards. 
  • Partner with the broader brand marketing team to refine and evolve our brand narrative, style, and positioning.
  • Execute with a spirit of collaboration, curiosity, and innovation.


This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in graphic design, advertising, or related field
  • 4+ year experience in design or art direction for a consumer brand at an agency or in-house
  • Strong portfolio in print and digital design (including motion graphics)
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and proficiency in Sketch, Invision, and Figma.
  • Strong communication design fluency (composition, typography, color, illustration and movement)
  • Solid understanding of marketing, advertising, user psychology, and conversion optimization
  • Ability to creative multiple, divergent solutions to the same problem
  • Can rapidly create sketches, wireframes, mockups, etc. to visualize and effectively communicate your ideas
  • Have basic knowledge of professional printing, and how to make specifications for print media (wayfinding, signage, etc.)
  • Comfort with ambiguity, unafraid of change, and proactive

Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $64,700 - $112,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
