Job Summary:

The Product State Manager - Associate Manager supports the team in achieving profit and growth targets for assigned state(s)/region or line(s) of business. This role designs, develops, manages and leads strategies, initiatives, and people while using product, pricing, and risk management knowledge to achieve business goals.

 

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the analysis of data to assess early detection of trends to develop actionable insights and makes recommendations on rates and risk management guidelines
  • Utilizes analytics to develop new insights and understanding of business performance
  • Proactively leads the identification, research, and analysis of developing trends and the competitive market to provide actionable recommendations for achieving profitable growth, as well as to inform rate, risk management guidelines and product recommendations
  • Solves medium/highly complex problems, utilizing broad market and corporate knowledge
  • Leads the collaboration and integration within product and with other key stakeholders to develop analysis, make recommendations, and drive understanding/engagement to support Market Operating Committee (MOC)/Line strategies
  • Supports the development of local Underwriting and/or Line Management strategies and plans
  • Proactively leads the identification, development, execution and post implementation evaluation of strategies to address challenges and maximize opportunities of medium/high complexity; provides recommendations for adjustments as warranted
  • Provides coaching and development to direct reports to ensure state-specific results, impacts and business strategies are considered

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has supervisory duties.

Education and Experience:

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
  • 5 or more years of product or finance experience
  • Insurance experience a plus
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Functional Skills:

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of the organization's business operations and industry
  • Possesses strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in evaluating and summarizing data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate specialized terms and data
  • Experience working in Excel, data visualization tools, and other analytical software
  • Knowledge of product, price, risk management and insurance regulation, with working knowledge of lines, rate plans and product offerings
  • Good collaboration and relationship skills
  • Ability to plan, implement, and measure projects of high complexity and/or large-scale key initiatives using accepted project management standards

Compensation offered for this role is $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
