Job Summary

The Fraud Risk and Return Management (FRRM) team within ERRM (Enterprise Risk and Return Management) helps areas prevent and reduce fraud risk for Allstate and our customers. FRRM enables Allstate to establish a Fraud Hub for the enterprise that coordinates fraud solutions, addresses fraud incidents, measures fraud losses, and escalates, as appropriate, through:

  • Fraud Enterprise Operating Model and Governance
  • Enterprise Fraud Incident Management
  • Fraud Controls Maturity Acceleration
  • Fraud Infrastructure

Job Description

This role is on the FRRM team supporting a central enterprise fraud governance and escalation function. This team has accountability for providing:

  • Enterprise fraud loss analysis and formal reporting of opportunities
  • Central coordination point and communication protocol for incidents of high impact and cross-functional (i.e., incidents that are not necessarily isolated to certain business units, with no clear ownership)
  • Enterprise view/inventory of fraud fighting agents and fraud control inventory that drive targeted fraud risk assessments and control solutioning progress across enterprise
  • Event-driven fraud prevention/detection engines, sitting atop fraud data mart / repository available to enterprise fraud fighting partners

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides consistent fraud governance across the enterprise
  • Deepens understanding of enterprise-wide view of fraud loss analysis and reporting
  • Focuses on fraud incidents that are cross-functional and impactful across multiple areas and stakeholders
  • Builds enterprise fraud control inventory while analyzing control gaps and executing on a project plan with milestones & outcomes
  • Addresses fraud in early stages of key product lifecycle
  • Performs analysis to identify possible fraud and analyzes activity to detect and prevent fraudulent activity based on reports, alerts, or notifications
  • Leads the collaboration of identifying fraud risk in a particular business area or customer journey within Allstate
  • Identifies gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies and recommends enhancements and process improvements based on assessment of fraud systems and processes
  • Communicates effectively emerging and/or changing risk and related control opportunities and enhancements to management
  • Supports development of the fraud risk and return decision, creating fact base to quantify value of mitigation efforts to enable the business to manage the risk decision 
  • Coordinates state-specific Anti-Fraud Reporting for the enterprise

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant experience, applying a fraud risk-based framework/approach
  • 3+ years of fraud analytics/data reporting, assessment, and Excel/Power BI experience with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, & apply it to problem resolution
  • 2+ years of insurance experience and business controls/fraud technology experience preferred
  • Experience with storyline development & key messaging using PowerPoint
  • Experience with e-commerce, digital, and/or transactional fraud
  • Experience with fraud incident response
  • Experience with project planning & milestones/deliverables/outcomes
  • Preferred experience working on a team developing control inventories, identifying potential gaps, and reporting 
  • Preferred some experience using an Archer GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tool
  • Solid understanding of fraud risks, and risk management processes to identify and monitor fraud risks within the organization
  • Ability to establish & manage relationships with internal & external partners
  • Be comfortable navigating the grey, dealing with ambiguous projects
  • Strategic thinking and ability to theme quickly while having attention to detail
  • Certified Fraud Examiner designation and/or interest in pursuing this designation is beneficial


Compensation offered for this role is $68,500 - 120,000 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.


The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
