Job Summary:

 

Driving an efficient claim operation while upholding our commitment to quality, compliance, continuous learning, and customer satisfaction are critical elements to enable the Claims Department to serve our customers.  The Claims Risk Management & Compliance team’s mission is to protect Allstate’s brand, reputation and bottom line by balancing risks and return.  

This Senior Manager role is responsible for developing, consulting, and implementing compliance solutions on key initiatives aligned with Claims’ strategic direction and in support of enterprise strategic goals. The individual oversees a cross-functional team to effectively prioritize and direct activities to improve the automation and efficacy while supporting Line Management in achieving aligned objectives, while balancing risk and return principles. 
 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Drives automation and simplification in processes to streamline activity for our customers and employees
•    Manages a portfolio of assessments, issues, related projects/ initiatives to ensure risks are identified, prioritized, and responded to timely
•    Establish and maintain processes, tools, and standards for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation that can be effectively leveraged across a large, complex organization 
•    Maintain effective, two-way communication across multiple enterprise teams with varying priorities and goals, ensuring that Claims meets a variety of enterprise standards related to risk management
•    Effectively communicates (verbal and written) on a risk portfolio to include the risk-return tradeoff to resolve with leadership across departments, at an executive level
•    Evaluate trends to proactively identify risks and engage appropriate stakeholders to respond
•    Proactively initiate process enhancements to continuously improve program performance over time
•    Manage a team of resources in a fast-paced environment using inspirational leadership to sharpen skills, provide clear feedback to elevate performance while driving high engagement and productivity

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
10 or more years of related experience
In-depth understanding of either insurance/claim’s operations or risk management (both preferred)
Experience in governance of a large/complex portfolio of work or enterprise-level program
Highly developed relationship management, communication, and leadership skills
Highly developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills
People management, including management of managers

Compensation Data

The compensation offered for this role ranges from $135,000.00 to $165,000.00 base salary based on the candidate's experience. There is also a 20% annual target bonus.
