Job Summary


This role contributes to and helps develop the strategic design, planning, and implementation of strategy for programs and processes to support individual business function objectives and considers alignment with the broader corporate strategy. Also provides consulting, project management and support within subject matter expertise across the enterprise for focused initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Demonstrates solid business knowledge, leadership, strategic vision and general management skills 
  • Plans and coordinates the integration and delivery of planned changes, projects, or programs, setting and maintaining a regular cadence of team and stakeholder meetings; contributes to communication to support new plans, programs, or processes
  • Modifies and aligns existing and new initiatives to support changing business strategies and tactics, managing program stakeholders across business units  
  • Creates and manages program plans: including scope, timelines, and key performance indicators on moderate to complex projects 
  • Identifies and manages program risks and issues, working closely with SMEs to mitigate
  • Establishes and tracks plan performance; coordinates and evaluates project controls and tracks/analyzes project ROI
  • Helps present business cases and influences others to take recommended actions
  • Formulates strategies to achieve plan objectives
  • Analyzes data as it relates to programs, projects and processes of moderate complexity; provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate. Anticipates and makes recommendations to solve market specific implications of business strategies
  • When applicable, seeks to connect resources across departments to share expertise necessary to successfully complete projects
  • Drive continuous improvements to program process and tools in alignment with the broader business goals Supports the build and adherence of governance processes
  • This job does not have supervisory duties

Preferred Qualifications


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4-5 years’ experience in strategic program management

  • Possess an operating level of knowledge of Allstate’s brand and competition in various markets
  • Leadership skills necessary to lead team
  • Strong project/program management skills

  • Strong project management skills including developing work plans, estimating and managing resources, time and budget
  • Strong communication skills including written and oral
  • Possesses working knowledge of processes, policies, and procedures relevant to the industry 
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with ability to focus it on business problems and analytical efforts 
  • Has the ability to solve routine problems of moderate complexity following established policies and procedures
  • Scaled Agile knowledge and experience preferred
