Job Summary:

Our technology strategists evaluate broad technology trends and disruptive innovations and then interpret the implications and opportunities for our business. We provide an objective, independent perspective enabling Allstate to realize the full potential of technology resources, investments and assets. As advisory partners, we bring together the right voices and thought leadership to make informed decisions and set the strategic direction for how Allstate can leverage technology to create competitive advantage.

 

As a Technology Strategy Consultant, you'll be responsible for contributing to the design, delivery and execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on department and broader Enterprise goals. You'll also partner with leaders and colleagues from across the enterprise to contribute to cutting-edge technology strategies that enable Allstate to achieve near and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a thought leader by developing ideas that have strategic impact and align with broader Enterprise strategies

• Responsible for contributing to initiatives which will drive our enterprise technology strategy forward

• Supports the communication of the technology strategy to the organization so they understand their roles, are motivated to achieve established goals and have line of the sight between their work and Allstate strategies

• Contributes knowledge to complex situations, where alternatives are numerous, to support the development of business solutions on behalf of the organization

• Partners with other strategists to contribute to the development of a vision, direction, and specific objectives for targeted organizational areas

• Leverages business knowledge to facilitate the acceptance of ideas where difficult (but necessary) to achieve goals and objectives

• Aligns to and models an environment of accountability within the team

• Recommends and implements change across multiple organizations in alignment with enterprise change initiatives; uses personal influence to enlist employees and peers in implementing change

Functional Skills:

• An understanding of the business of technology, with a demonstrated understanding of technology strategy and emerging trends in the industry

• Leader-level communication skills (written and oral)

• Intrinsic learner, able to quickly come up to speed on unfamiliar subjects

• Strong work ethic with an inherent sense of ownership and responsibility

• Facilitation skills; the ability to orchestrate workshops and synthesize points of view from leaders, supporting consensus

• The ability to operate within an environment in which accountability with respect to outcome-based objectives is emphasized

• The ability to develop oneself, supporting development of bench strength within the strategy function

Education and Experience:

• 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation offered for this role is $70,500.00-$125,625.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
