Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for multiple resources to join the technician family within the Product Operations business unit.  This department works closely with actuarial, quantitative analysts, underwriting and coverage consultants to develop, analyze, and implement price and underwriting changes in Allstate’s various lines of business.  Responsibilities include interfacing with the different business units as well as internal customers in areas such as Technology, State Filings, other teams within Product Operations, as well as state Departments of Insurance.

 

This entry level analyst role will learn the technician processes and work with support on projects that include, but are not limited to: rate and rule changes, minor initiatives, data calls, compliance projects, system inquiries and other small projects that are basic to moderately complex in nature.

 

Projects include, but not limited to: Rate and Rule changes, Minor and Major Initiatives, Risk Management Profiles, Data Calls, Compliance projects, Inquires from Systems, and other Technician involved projects.

 

 

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels; and
  • High level organizational and project management skills in order to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner and to monitor processes throughout a team or department; and
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills; and
  • Works effectively in a team environment; and
  • Strong attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve basic data issues.

 

 

Essential Criteria - candidates should clearly state on their application form how they meet each of the essential criteria as these will be assessed during shortlisting and only these deemed to meet all of the below criteria will move forward to the next stage.

  • Degree qualified or 1 years relevant working experience; and
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; and
  • Must be an EU citizen or possess a UK Tier 1 visa which entitles the holder to take up full time employment in the UK and must be eligible to travel to the US.
